Blues Hill Park project
Principles of operation
We wish to organize at least 6-8 multi-day festivals a year, or bring them to Blues Hill Park using our network of contacts. We aim to develop our annual schedule featuring as many diverse themes and covering as wide a spectrum of society as possible, and we also wish to stage a smaller event every weekend.
In the framework of the American Car Festival we would like to go beyond the clichés of similar events, and invite foreign performers besides Hungarian bands. For this purpose, we have already contacted the bands Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and Ten Years After.
During the organizational stages of the American Car Festival in 2006, the event was already planned to span 5 days. We have contacted the American car clubs of the neighboring countries, so we expect to welcome 400-500 cars for the next festival, which would be quite an achievement even by international standards. Besides miscellaneous programs, every day will have automobile events, and a procession of the cars is of course planned to be held in Felsőtárkány and Eger on Saturday.
We would also like to organize other cultural events, by creating an opportunity for amateur bands to perform on stage as participants of talent contests. These events would help to promote the emergence of local performers. The capabilities of the park to hold cultural events are almost inexhaustible. Several event organizers have already inquired about renting the park for various events, such as:
- car / motorbike meetings,
- mountain bike races,
- children’s day, May picnics,
- dog shows,
- off-road races,
- concerts, etc.
The primary aim is to create an area that could function as a cradle for any type of cultural or family programs, featuring an infrastructure that would ensure the trouble-free staging of all events. Of course, the park would also embrace the ideas of other organizations and host municipal events (Children’s Day organized by the municipality, open-air billboard exhibitions, etc.).
The area will feature a Texas Western design, while the natural environment will remain intact. The stone buildings will be provided with wood covering.
